for all those flipping out over Reverend Wright

How about Reverend Hagee, pastor of a Texas mega-church?

Yes, the same whack-job who blamed Hurricane Katrina as punishment for all the gays--and also stood next to John McCain to give his holy endorsement so that his heard of religious extremists could blindly follow to the voting booths.

Let's glean a lesson from all of this. Obama has to say he belongs to a Church to be electable. McCain has to be endorsed by pastors to remain electable to the base of uber-Conservatives.

To all of the Democrats flipping out over some sound-bytes of Obama's preacher and using that as Hillary-fodder--take a look at the bigger picture: elected officials, and especially presidential hopefuls, need the bible-beaters with huge congregations behind them to give them a Christian stamp of approval and broaden their voter base.

It's quite simple. Get over it.

I could turn this into why does a presidential hopeful need a Christian stamp of approval to win, but that's a whole other issue./
