Thought this was funny.
Ate dinner with a friend who lives in New York. We were doing the dating-life update. He said, "I need to find a winter girlfriend."
"Huh?" I ask.
I then learned that in extremely cold climates, people do not go out very much in the winter. Hence the need for a winter boy/girlfriend. Funny.

It is SO funny that you posted this. I have learned that this is definitely true since moving to Chicago, and my friends here all highly recommend this practice. The "winter boyfriend" is supposed to be key to getting you through the cold months ahead, and you have to start working on it in late summer/early fall months... ha!
