Although it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside that Bush spent his time reminiscing about days of alcohol abuse among recovering addicts, it is all too convenient that this institution is a religious rehabilitation center--called Jericho--and has received more than a half-million dollars in grants yearly under the Bush administration.
"Our government should not fear the influence of faith on our society," Bush said.
My apologies, but the government should not be paying for a bunch of bible lovers to trade some vulnerable person's crack with Jesus.
